Frequently Asked Questions:
Who should be my trusted contact?
Trusted contacts are usually family members or close friends—people who are likely to know your current situation—as opposed to your accountant, trustee, or power of attorney. The individual must be 18 years old to be assigned as a trusted contact.
What information do you need to get started?
Once you’ve identified your preferred trusted contact, enter their name, phone number, and email address.
Is assigning a Trusted Contact required by law?
To comply with new regulations, Janney, along with other financial services firms, is asking for trusted contact information.
If I assign a trusted contact within Online Access, will they have access to my account information?
No. A trusted contact will not be authorized to access your accounts or transact on your behalf. Your trusted contact will not have access to your Online Access portal.
